Creative and delicious food, extensive wine list. Try to grab a seat at the counter to watch cooks in action, and definitely try the charred octopus.
Love this place! Food is creative and yummy. How do they make plain, simple bread butter so delicious? We also loved the octopus and patty melt and Caesar salad. Service was excellent all contributing to a wonderful evening. I’ll return every time I’m in LA from SF!
Mark, while hosting, went above and beyond for my guest and I. Though the restaurant was booked up, he made sure to get us at the chefs counter per my request. He checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was delicious. His genuineness and superior care made us feel super special. We will make a point to only visit when we can work with Mark. Dinner was delicious. We ordered the gem salad, scallops, and wagyu steak. I’d order everything again. I am genuinely excited to try more on my next visit. Bring a jacket if you are dining inside, the restaurant is a bit chilly. Sit inside to get the full experience
We had dinner outside; the seating at the parklet was nice with background music. Service was great! Sourdough bread was good and octopus was great but a tad too salty. Salmon had too much broth. Most disappointing was the tortellini-which was served with only about 5 small tortellini. On the other hand, it had too many (about 5) spicy charred green peppers that were too spicy to eat.
