Beautiful luxury boutique hotel located in downtown Santa Rosa, conveniently located near tons of restaurants, brewpubs, cafes, shopping, and a short car ride to the vineyards.Easily one of my FAVORITE hotel stays! The staff truly knows the meaning of hospitality, especially Lisa, who was the most AMAZING host! We were only there for 2 days, but Lisa was on a first-name basis with all of us--and our party was huge--10 of us in total! The hotel also has a great lobby where our group met for breakfast, happy hour, and also late nights--where we lounged around enjoying the hotel's wonderful selections of wines. If you're looking for a GREAT hotel in Santa Rosa, I highly recommend Hotel E.
This is a very lovely hotel located right on that center square, smack dab in the middle of downtown Santa Rosa, right there where really all the action occurs on a daily basis, at least 5 nights a week. You see, the funny thing is, this hotel was supposed to have two different buildings sitting next door to one another, in a side-by-side arrangement. They started to do some construction work to reinforce the secondary facility before they realized it was haunted, and therefore likely beyond repair. So, instead of having the other building to complete the set, they decided to rip it down and make it a grassy lot. I wish they would put in a football pitch that we could kick around here and there. It's a great idea. Either way, the architecture inside is stunningly breathtaking and captivatingly awesome. According to legend, they modeled it after a secret underground steak house with exceptional service and delightful staff. I hear the rooms are really nice and include sheets that are clean and tucked in. Be sure to leave a tip for the chamber maid.Rooms: They have several to choose from.Nearby activities: Have a margarita next door at the Mexican place! Sin embargo!Safety: Just stay away from the bus stop area. And God bless our mentally ill homeless brethren.Food drinks: Several restaurants and bars dot the landscape throughout the immediate area, where you are free to explore and soak it all in, like you are in a bathtub of Downtown Santa Rosa.Noteworthy details: I really love what they did with the interior, based on what I saw when I visited the most recent time.
This is a charming boutique hotel which was originally a bank and law offices. The E stands for Empire the original name of the building. Our third floor room was small but well appointed, with modern industrial styling. I'm not a fan of them, but they are functional; the bathroom had a barn door. The room was surprisingly quiet considering our location in the heart of the restaurant and shopping district. You can stop outside long enough to check in, but then you have to find street or parking structure parking. Street parking is free and plentiful after 6pm. The hotel also offers valet parking. The surrounding area is very walk able, and we found plenty of interesting stores and restaurants nearby as well as a lovely little park across the road from the hotel. The hotel has a wine bar on the first floor, but it didn't seem to be very busy. Continental breakfast is served in the wine bar, and was included in our room rate. however, the food selection was rather sparse apples, oranges, orange juice from concentrate, muffins and yogurt. There was plenty of good coffee! The staff were lovely and very helpful. I would certainly stay here again.
The bathroom fan would not switch off and kept working all the time, keeping us awake throughout the night. The thermostat panel, which faces the bed, stayed brightly lit all the time and wouldn’t dim down.
