Pepe's Mexican - Santa Rosa

Service was so cold, food was great too. You have Modello, what can you complain?

What a fantastic restaurant, the chef named Victor took the time to cook my food as I asked without hesitating. He was right to the lady who took my order name lubia, the lady who took my order name was very fast and took my order and was very professional what a flawless, organized restaurant recommended to anyone who is in the area.

This was my first time at Pepe's. I have been meaning to get in for a while so taco Tuesday seemed to be the right time. I ordered three Carne Asada, three Al Pastor, and three Polo Asada tacos. They were all a good size and filled with meat. First, the Carne Asada; it was very tender but a bit bland. Then I tried my wife's Polo and it was good. Both tacos were just missing a little something. Then I had the Pastor, the best of the three in my opinion. The pork was very tender and extremely flavorful. I would definitely return for the Pastor but not so much for the other two. All of the tacos were loaded with grilled onions and sliced radishes. The tacos came with chips and two different salsas. The chip were ok and the salsa had good flavor but at least one of them could have used a bit more heat. The service was great! And my tacos came out quickly. You can watch them being made right behind the counter. The price seems to be in line with other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area. Pepe's may not be at the top of my return list but I will head back for some of that wonderful Pastor. Three stars for the hand made tortillas. Food was good but service was horrible. Staff walked past us numerous times, had to ask for a table upon still having to find one ourselves. We also had to ask for menus and to place our order. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful considering we were a party of 7. Also seen the staff dismiss to next table of only 2. In desperate need of PROPER STAFF!!

Service is always good and the food is worth waiting. Havent was still disappointed. Love come here for years
