Owned, operated, and decorated by artist Margriet Zwart (I bought two paintings from her while I was there has created something really unique and special. A clean, Miami chic art cafe directly across the beach. Friendly to surfers and the people just passing though (like me , the covered seating area seemed to be hang out hub for locals and travelers. Perhaps they like the free wifi or the dark rich americanos (or cafe con leche in my faux Spansih in the morning while they log onto Facebook? The fare was fantastic the brunch pancakes ruled and I wish they delivered the fish burritos to North America. It really doesn't matter though, I'm planning on going again this winter.
It will be difficult to put the zwart experience into words but here we go... imagine walking into a zany, rustic meets posh, art gallery, bookstore and cafe were locals and visitors alike come together for wacky conversations, surf reports and all around goofiness. not only are you guaranteed a good time sharing with all the colorful characters that frequent the place daily, but you will enjoy some of the best breakfast, lunch and light-snack food in town! their coffee is amazing and served in generous portions, the burritos rock, and the crepes will make your mouth water. on your way out grab one of the freshly, made, buttery granola squares. the most exciting granola bar you'll ever have. and the zwart art is completely unique the world over... talent simply oozes out or that zwart.
They have a bookshop! It is a cafe with a gallery! Perfect for artists and readers! Smoothies are delicious and the hosts are attentive and smiling!
