Ylang Ylang Beach Resort

My wife and I chose this part of Costa Rica because of its reputation as an off-the-beaten-path gem, and those are the exact words I 'd use after our trip. The Ylang Ylang is the perfect choice in an already perfect place. This location is wild enough to give the feeling of genuine travel, yet comfortable enough to keep worries at bay. I don’t like feeling like a tourist, even if I am one, and the Ylang Ylang made me feel like an adventurer who appreciates air conditioning. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow. It was clean, comfortable, and quite literally 10 steps from a stunning and isolated beach with remarkably warm water. However, it 's not the best place to swim as the shore-breaking waves and reef rocks might cause harm. But there 's no such concern with the hotel pool. My only advice is to stay hydrated since walking long distances on the beach is unavoidable. If you 're like me and want to experience something special, avoid the crowds, crave adventure but also want the comfort of a good mattress, and want to be asking yourself, Where am I? Is this real? then stay at the Ylang Ylang.

We just got back to the states, just yesterday having left this piece of paradise and I’m sitting here smiling reflecting on what an incredible experience our stay here was! We stayed three nights and wish we could have spent so much longer because we enjoyed ourselves so much. We stayed in the tree top canopy which was so dreamy. Awoke to howler monkeys in the trees in the morning and fell asleep listening to the waves crash on the beach below. Our meals were incredible each day, with the most friendly staff who made us want to stay all day!! The hotel was easy to communicate with-we ultimately chose to leave our car at their sister restaurant in town and given that we only had backpacks, we walked the 10 min walk along the beach which only added to the magical feeling of this place. We were offered a shuttle, which we ultimately took on the way back to town at the end of our stay, but we loved stretching our legs and walking! Cannot recommend this place enough. Each and every detail is thought through. We can’t wait to return again in the future. Thank you thank you to everyone at Ylang Ylang!

Oh my goodness! My wife and I stayed at the resort for six nights and cannot say enough good things about the facility, staff, or food. We were greeted with smiles and graciousness from the moment we arrived. Every request was met with some form of Absolutely! We can get that for you. The members of the staff became friends. We will be dreaming of a day when we can return to Ylang Ylang.

My wife and I are currently on our way home from spending a wonderful 8 nights at Ylang Ylang for our honeymoon. I could not recommend highly enough to reflect the amazing experience we had! From ease of booking and courteous, quick responses to all of our questions, all the way to the friendly farewell at breakfast this morning, the entire experience has been nothing short of amazing. When we first arrived we enjoyed a delicious vegan dinner that was the most flavorful pasta I have ever experienced! The amazing food continued every day of our stay. We enjoyed relaxing and exploring the property, as well as a couple of day trips into town and on some adventures. The cabina we stayed in was very comfortable and just the right amount of space for us. The cleaning service was so cute with the towel art that they left us, and brought our space back to spotless condition every day. We have no complaints whatsoever! Ylang Ylang has been an incredible experience, and we will definitely recommend it to others, just like it was recommended to us. Pura Vida!!
