An excellent fish restaurant. We enjoyed the best meal of our Cuban holiday here. This restaurant is good from any standard, not only for Cuba (where we have other great meals). The cook has talent. Cooking is good, beautifully presented, the seasonal subtle and well balanced, with a better use of vegetables than we found elsewhere in Cuba. As already mentioned, this is a fish restaurant. I don't enjoy fish like the rest of my party. For me there were only a few dishes to choose from, my brochetta was delightful. I would urge Thoms not to extend his offer of meat, but to adhere to his specialism. The menu, when it was translated into English, raised a few smiles, but did not pose any problems. It is concise, instead of crumbling, always a good sign, and the prices are fair on both sides of the bargain. Thoms has good English, and is friendly and striving to help several other members of his team also have English. He is rightly proud of his institution. The restaurant itself, in an upper balcony room, is tasteful, quirkily decorated and airy on a humid evening.
