The visit to this place was not planned. The address came out from a search for mexican breakfast place after our hotel failed to accept us whilst it was paid (this is true story ! . Located in center town, this place provides for good real mexican breakfast, that enables you to stand until 3pm, the time for lunch in this country. The place is really old looking, probably not changed since 50 years, but very fresh and clean nevertheless. To some extent a charming jump in the post WWII atmosphere. Do not expect luxury there, but rather authenticity. A place where I will gladly return when back in Queretaro.
This is a truly traditional place. The flavor is really amazing. The place is old but cozy. Many locals dine here. Try the enchiladas, they are heavenly.
PROS *I dig the diner feel and the fact that there are elderly women working as waitresses. *My enchiladas weren’t bad. *Bakery items looked tempting. CONS *I don’t know that I would recommend the place to a friend. Feels like you can find better and cheaper places to eat.
Great little restaurant. Not pretentious but good efficient service. Extensive Mexican menu, and good prices.
