Lagar Mesquita - São Brás de Alportel

Absolutely stunning restaurant, beautiful location and amazing decor! Food and service is spot on, the Portuguese Beef Tapas to start is lovely the Octopus main is the best I've ever had. We visited at lunchtime which was fairly quiet but suited us. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Its been a few years since our last visit. Glad to see its still very very good. A little bit fancier than your usual local restaurant. My only criticism is the serving staff are far too serious. Very professional but a little smile now and again goes a long way. Three courses for three adults with wine and drinks €135.I would recommend.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. To anyone complaining about the prices, please note this isn't a restaurant throwing grilled chicken or kebab skewers and chips at you, so please don't expect to pay those restaurants' prices. Our party of four had three courses each and shared three bottles of good wine for 200 euros which is excellent value for the quality of food, venue and service.

We were not disappointed by this charming restaurant -great ambience and interior -food delicious -sautéed prawns in garlic to start a delight -confit duck and grilled octopus recommended for main -delicious wines and very friendly and efficient staff -very good value for money .
