But well worth visiting...Food is cooked by Mr Tatini and his wife! Ingredients come from the backyard and are extremely fresh! When going there, plan to stay the whole day!!You have to make a reservartion in advance...There is no menu! You will eat whatever is fresh and available and you will not be disapointed!!Not pricy and you can (should) take your own wine!Isn't that interesting?
When I was recommended this small place in the middle of nowhere, owned by one of the Tatinis (a great family of italian chefs, well-known in fancy restaurants in Sao Paulo), I was a little skeptical. My mistake !When we got there, it was a lovely country home. We were welcomed by Mr Tatini, that was dressed in loose jeans and a T-shirt, some flour decorating the smile he had on his face, and a lovely smell of fresh baked italian bread. This is a slow meal - and it's supposed to be so. Just enjoy the view, the smell of the kitcken and Mr Tatini singing along an iPod. Five courses and several hours later, you pretty much forgot you were ever hungry - honestly, don't have breakfast before, don't plan for dinner - you will be happy and absolutely full for the day.Just as a reminder, they require reservation, you can bring your own wine and they won't charge you for that. The menu is surprise, but the chef will respect any restriction you tell him about. They charge per person.
