Cafe Epicure - Sarasota

Went for a nightcap only. Bartender was friendly, great service. Their house Old fashioned could use a higher quality, higher proof bourbon to greatly add to the taste profile of the drink. The Old Fashioned gets higher points for presentation.

This restaurant “ Cafe EPICURE “ is a nice place for authentic Italian dishes. Most of us are new to this place and food. Staff are Good and Services are Great. We a team of 15 members enjoyed the great food.

Have to say on all levels this restaurant was very disappointing. One waiter was rude to my 80+ year old mother because she was asking about other wine choices. He just said that was her only choice and rolled his eyes. Her dish had so much Parmesan on it that it was like a giant pile she barely ate anything. The pizza was raw and the “roasted” vegetables tasted rotten. There were 4 wait people who kind of waited on us but didn’t know what was going on so we waited a lot longer to get service or pay the bill than necessary. Management needs to do some quality control because they don’t know how to cook the food at all. The 2 seconds at the table is too short to serve people. You should just have a pizza bar where people walk through the line because the wait staff were really insulting. I felt bad for my mother as she was embarrassed by the treatment there.

We originally just stopped in for a cocktail. Then we saw they had wood fired pizza. We had already eaten but we got one to try and it was excellent. Can't wait to go back and have dinner someday. Diego, the bartender was nice.

Visiting from Raleigh with 10 other women and this was a wonderful dining experience! The food was delicious appetizers to dessert! I wish I had taken a picture of our food. We didn’t wait a long time for our food. Everything was correct and the server was so friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing with a good vibe. Must try!
