China Star - Sarasota

The food is of excellent quality, priced somewhat higher than typical Chinese restaurants in Sarasota, but it's worth it. There’s never an overwhelming amount of salt or fat, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The portion sizes are generous as well. I also highly recommend the lunch options and sushi rolls; both are outstanding.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. Our meals were prepared quickly, and everything was just as we ordered. This is a huge plus when dining with two very picky children!

The food was disappointing. I ordered the family meal, which allowed me to sample a variety of dishes, but unfortunately, none were good. Additionally, they didn't include any utensils in the to-go bags, so when we went to the beach, we had to leave to pick up forks and napkins. I won’t be returning.

This was literally the worst experience I ever had for Chinese takeout. I misunderstood our order, and the food that WAS sent was very clearly superfluous from lunch that sat all day in a heat window. Crab Rangoon was soggy and stale like the egg rolls. Couldn't even bite her. 100% garbage.

Ordered General Tso chicken, orange chicken, fried rice, 3 egg rolls, and some crab Rangoon at 6pm. The order took 55 minutes and once we opened the food we realized they had messed up the order and gave us food we are 99% sure was under a heat lamp all day. Instead of tso and orange they gave us 2 orange and white rice, the chicken was chewy and disgusting, the egg rolls were partially cold/chewy/extremely hard, and the crab Rangoon was God awful with soft/chewy exterior and what tasted like cold walmart crab salad inside. This was a God awful experience for my tastebuds. Judging from the other reviews this place recently went down hill hard and I strongly advise against coming here. Jade Garden is a much better experience all around but sadly they were closed and we had to suffer through this food . If I could give 0 stars I would.
