Ford's Garage Sarasota

Took my girlfriend to Ford's Garage in Sarasota for dinner. She ordered a medium well Bison burger and Corona and I ordered their signature BBQ Brisket Burnt Ends Patty Melt. When the waiter brought the food he brought me BBQ Brisket fries instead of my order. He then took the order back to the kitchen and never returned with what I had originally ordered. I had to flag down the waitress who, after some time, brought what I had originally ordered which ended up being not even worth the wait. My girlfriend's burger was medium rare as opposed to what she ordered and the onion rings on top of the burger were noticeably burnt and hard enough to break a tooth. The waitress said she would take the burger dish back and redo the order. By this time I was almost finished with my food so we just asked for the replacement burger to go. The waitress sent a lady manager over to our table to great us out. I asked for my girlfriend's meal to be comped and she readily agreed and even offered us a free desert. Bad experience all around but at least the lady manager tried to remedy what was left of an otherwise horrible experience. I'll never go back. I hope they get their act together so no one had to experience my horrible night out.

TO STAFF: I would like to gladly recognize an employee of your fine restaurant. His name is Travis Matthews. His supervisor is Tom Jones. I had much conversation with him as he performed his busing duties around and near the bar area as I waited for our group to arrive. His very pleasant persona caught my attention. I needed some info regarding your diverse menu. Travis was quick to offer his thoughts and recommendations. I asked him about his desire to be a server . He advised me he had only been employed there for two months and it was his goal. I want to give the FORD GARAGE my personal recommendation to consider Travis for a promotion to Server. Fun place, great friendly vibe, cheerful, great service and very tasty and interesting food choices. I’ll definitely go back.

Service was extremely friendly and helpful but I’ve had better food on an airplane. And this isn’t a review where the food wasn’t good bc it was too expensive for what I got….it was school cafeteria grade.
