Healthy Cafe - Sarasota

Fresh, tasteful and made with love are all adjectives that I use to describe India Cafe. I enjoyed my first order from India Cafe today (Sept. 2021). Currently India The cafe only allows the exception (no in-person meals), but they do curbside pickup. There are some parallel parking spaces on the street steps from the front door, but the restaurant is next to a parking garage that has free places for India Cafe. I'm so glad I found IC. The India Cafe was shown in an online search as basically the only place where I could get a dosa in SRQ country... You may think that this is not a big thing, but it is, trust me, especially looking for a restaurant that they ask on their online menu and after the call and find out they don't do anymore. This is the only place in the area to repair your dosa. If you didn't have dosa before you miss! After the call, I was told that Dosas are only available during the noon hours and extended communication is preferred as they need some additional time. I took my new knowledge and waited patiently until two days to order shortly after the opening. I love the simple online ordering system and that there is an option for board pickup. After the order I was instructed to call when I was there to pick up and I offered to go, but the woman worked (she seemed to be an owner) said she could bring my order to me, which was so much appreciated. My Mysore Dosa was EXCELLENT and the Coconut Chutney tour was delicious. If you do not know what a dosa is, it is essentially a very thin rice and lentil pancakes that can be enjoyed like it or with a filling. The Dosa itself got a little soft in the Styrofoam packaging, as it was hot and I imagined a bit in steamed, but I didn't really mind. The filling was tasteful and already in the dosa (it was not separately packed/served as some places do). I enjoyed every bite as it was so delectable and the homemade Chutney was a beautiful but not necessary supplement to enjoy the dosa. I also have a vegan lunch plate because “Why not?” for lunch tomorrow. I had a few flavors of the meal and it was great. I love the lemon rice it comes with the two curries as well as the vegetables served with it was tasteful. There is an addition of peanuts in rice (at least I think they are peanuts), so if you have an allergy that you want to draw attention to. The vegan lunch time comes with Roti and the vegetarian lunch plate is served with Naan. Please check out the India Cafe for large South Indian cuisine. The style of foods and offers are somewhat more unique than other Indian foods I had and I had a variety. I will definitely return and look forward to doing this

I drank the vegan almond drink Badam Kheer with saffron and cardamom and its taste. I picked up Samosas and a vegan buffet box. The staff was super friendly and the place had a great authentic feeling inside.

This place is incredibly delicious authentic South Indian cuisine! Sarasota needed such a place and I am very happy to support them. All we ordered was fantastic. The masala dosa was huge and came with super yummy home made chutneys. The chicken 65 was from the chain. We will be back!!!

I wish I could give them 10 stars!! Wow finally a fresh new healthy restaurant in the heart of downtown Sarasota! I'm so happy that my daughter is treated for my birthday dinner. The food was freshly prepared right in front of us. Many vegetables to choose from. Portion size is also really good. So much to choose and all so healthy. I definitely come back. The owner of the restaurant is really nice and takes care of customer satisfaction. My favorite drink is the ginger limonade Chai . Wow that is definitely my new place to eat. Thank you.

Loved this place! Healthy Cafe is an oasis for some legit healthy food. All the grains are Organic as well as many of the other ingredients. As many veggies as you would like. There is free alkaline water and juice's available for free. Would definitely go back if I lived in the area. Try the Curried Lentils and the creamy tomato basil chicken. You will NOT be disappointed.
