Kona Grill Sarasota

The waitress was apparently very new and was not familiar with most directed on the menu. she couldn't answer a pretty basic question. that ranged from salads to main dishes. she had no warning. completely inattentive to drink.

Kona grill has great prices too happy hour for selected items that would otherwise be quite expensive. there are 3 sushi reels we get that are $6 and $9 each. if not on happy hour are the same roll $20 and $22 each. our server that was great! She took care of us well.

Nice variety of menu options. Food was excellent and attentive service.

Kona in Tampa was a good experience which led us to come here. Big mistake! It was very crowded and they didn’t have enough workers to handle the customers. Our waiter was good but clearly spread thin. He came back with a dirty martini which was sent back. It tasted like water, just ordered a beer instead. Clearly the bartender was terrible, worst martini I had in my life. No joke. The meatball appetizer was just ok. It took a long time to get our food and the burgers were mediocre. Be careful using the iPad, it charged us $3 for a video game and they had to take it off the bill. I would not recommend this place. There are so many other great spots around. If you want to wait for your food for hours, not be able to hear each other, get crappy mixed drinks and mediocre food, this is the place to go!

Terrible service. Literally sat 20 mins waiting on our server, when he arrived he
