Imagine my luck finding this Hawaiian chain in south central Florida! The kalua pork was super moist and flavorful, and the cabbage gave it a great texture. Generous portions. Shaved ice was spot on. 5* incredible (rare)4* very good/ strong desire to return3* generally good experience 2* poor/ no desire to return 1* a particularly awful experience
I'm from Hawaii and still live there 6 months of the year. I've been here to L&L Sarasota twice. Both times, the chicken katsu was waaaay overdone! It was so crispy I could break it in half. That's not right!!! The katsu sauce was good, however.
Another who knew this was here . Found on Yelp and tried to order on line buy technical issues prevented it. Found it I. A shopping center. Not really a sit down restaurant but tables are available. I placed our order at the counter and 20 minutes later I was on my way. Food was delicious. Last visit was in Hawaii so this was fun to find it in Sarasota.
I think the food is great but the short ribs were over priced $7 just for one and they took the platter off the menu so you couldn't order a meal. It was good, but very big the spam roll was my favorite and the short rib the sliders were good but nothing special. The lady was very nice and the place was very very clean. I spent almost $40 for this and I just didn't feel like it was worth that much.
