I understand this may be due to the more sensitive tongues of the Sarasota population but do not label it as Nashville hot if it tastes less spicy than a slice of jalapeno. At least give the customer a chance to adjust the spice level. The brisket benedict was a let down and should be renamed as pulled pork benedict instead. Classic brisket should be a slice of slow cooked juicy meat, not strands of dry pork Decent gastropub, but their flavors can use more work and spices.
This is a convenient spot to grab an early dinner before a show at nearby McCurdy 's Comedy Club. Our first visit , no idea what to expect other than the food got good reviews and the menu was unusual. The restaurant is basically a nice bar and a dining area in the lobby of a multi-use commercial building. It 's offset from the lobby so it feels restauranty . Service was excellent and they treated us to some of their amazing Billionaire Bacon Pork Wings Crispy jumbo osso bucco drumettes, MADE hot sauce BBQ glaze, wakami, pickled ginger, sesame, buttermilk pimento ranch. $20 Delicious, six pieces, enough to share or take home leftovers! Pork on Pork on Pork Mac-n-Cheese Smoked pork shoulder, house made chorizo, billionaire bacon, Parmesan-Gruyère Whiz. $17 Decidedly decadent and rich, definitely tasty Pulled Pork Potato Skins (GF) Crisp potato skins filled with house made pork carnitas, aged cheddar, billionaire bacon, scallion, buttermilk pimento ranch. $17 Warned it was spicy. Too spicy for us Overall it 's a blend of comfort, Cajun and exuberant. We 'll try some other dishes next time. Not for the diet conscious for sue!
We had a great time at this restaurant! Our waitress was very sweet and provided excellent service. The pan-fried cornbread was to die for. The fried chicken was incredible, as was the meatloaf.
Great food and service. Deff go here order the double dipped fried chicken. It was perfect
Feb 24 2024 Saturday 4 for lunch. Parking off of Ringling in the garage!!! Free and wide open. Service was again AWESOME. Not to busy. Great second visit this time for lunch. We got TWO Salmon Salads for the girls. They BOTH loved it, dressing was like by one and not a fan the other. too sweet maple suggest on the side. Salmon product was excellent and cooked fantastic. Bill, got the Brunch Burger and he said it was very good. I got the Smoked Chicken Taco Salad (listed with House blended greens, house smoked chicken, avocado, marinated baby tomatoes, grilled corn salsa, black bean, aged cheddar, jalapeño jack cheese, crisp tortilla strips, buttermilk pimento ranch I asked for NO chicken, extra beans, NO CHEESE and NO DAIRY but sadly it was swimming in the buttermilk ranch dressing...... not a big deal I should have said skip it or put on the side...... did not complain or send back however I wish there were more Vegan, Whole Food Plant Based, Vegetarian, or whatever options or designations on menus everywhere or at least MORE places. With 3% to 4% of Americans being vegan/WFPB and 2% to 6% being vegetarian across the age brackets approaching 1 in 10 diners are looking for a NON meat option for health or ethical reasons. Dairy/animal milks has been dropping for years and plant based/nut milks PASSED it at 50% a few years ago??? (soap box off (smile Way to go Made!!! Another predictably great experience.
