Mirna's Cuban Cuisine - Sarasota

Fantastic! 5 stars! A huge thank you to Mirna — it was my friends' first time trying Cuban food, and they absolutely loved it. We both had ropa vieja, and it was amazing! Truly perfection! The restaurant can get busy, but the wait isn't too long. There's also a fun retail store next door that's perfect for passing the time while you wait.

Wow! It was definitely worth the wait! The food is incredible, and the service is not only friendly but also very professional. I will definitely be coming back—this has become a new favorite in Sarasota! I highly recommend the Imperial Rice, but be sure to come with a big appetite!

The food here is SO GOOD! The seating is limited so be prepared to wait. It’s worth every minute though. Our server Ale was wonderful. Very quick and seemed to be running the entire dining area. She’s on it! Our food was scrumptious! I grew up on Cuban food, and don’t tell my Cuban Uncle, but Mirna’s might be better! I had the skirt steak. It was succulent and perfectly cooked. My sides of fried cassava and yellow rice were also very good. My husband had the ropa vieja and it was perfection! Might be the best ropa either one of us has ever had. His sides of black beans and rice were very good too. I could go on and on with how good this place is. Definitely try them out, so worth it!

The best wait staff. Went in once and the next time I'm there, the waitress repeats to me my order from two weeks earlier. Exactly, down to the italian dressing, hot sauce and water with lemon. Fantastic beautiful salad, black beans, rice, yuca and all the great cuban dishes. Favorite place.

Omg. This place is amazing. True authentic Cuban food. Soursop juice down to the beans and rice. I would suggest calling about seating...as it is a tiny place. But very clean. Staff was super friendly.
