Old Salty Dog - Sarasota

The hostess went above and beyond to accommodate my request for a table with a view, and later returned to check on us. Our server was prompt and very friendly. After a long trip, this was the first place we wanted to visit, and we dine here every time we’re in the area. We always expect good food in a casual setting, and they have never let us down. The appetizers are perfectly seasoned and make for a great start. We ordered the steamed clams, the blackened grouper, and a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. Everything was well-prepared. We usually return at least a few times during our stay, especially for lunch, trying out different items from the menu each time.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable, not to mention the beautiful water views. I ordered the 1-pound shrimp seasoned with butter and Old Bay, and it was absolutely amazing—definitely worth every penny. Our waitress, Jess, was exceptional—she was fast, helpful, friendly, and down-to-earth. Overall, it was another great experience!

Crab Dip... Shrimp Wrap...group sandwich and really cold beer... on the water with a fantastic server. It just won't be much better than that! Yes Salty Dog!

We love to come here... Best lobster rolls in Sarasota.... Coming from New England!!! ..we love toasted lobster rolls and the New England Clam Chowder is amazing! Chalk full of clams! The Attitude Margarita is GREAT!! Service is always top notch.. And you can't beat the view! P Feix
