What a lovely place! I can't believe I hadn't visited before. The owner was warm and welcoming. He and his wife run the bakery, and they're originally from Rome, Italy. He prepares the gelato while she bakes the pastries. They also offer coffee drinks and sandwiches. The interior is incredibly charming. I had a croissant, and it was fantastic! I think I've found my new favorite spot to study!

Wow, this place is incredible! The pastries are beautiful, and the coffee is excellent. They serve authentic Italian food straight from Italy, and everything is wonderfully fresh. The family running it is very genuine and friendly. I highly recommend it! Anyone who speaks poorly about this place is completely off-base and clearly doesn't know what they're talking about.

I had the best Tiramisu of my life here! As someone with a gluten allergy, it's nearly impossible to find gluten-free pastries in West Florida, but Sweet Mother Italy Café offers a wonderful variety of gluten-free mini-kissen. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed coffee, cake, and a salad, all of which were fantastic!

The owner is fresh from Italy trying 16 months in the states. His wife makes all the leaks. So friendly so delicious. They won't be disappointed. Support local!

The owner is very friendly. She is teaching us a new Italian word every time we visit. Ask her for your Italian word of the day. Plus I tried the walnut pastry and thoroughly enjoyed it!
