The service is excellent, the food is worthy of a visit. Bartenders are top notch! Nice little hole in the wall spot. I’ve been coming here for 30 years. I believe the saving grace for this restaurant is the ambient, waterfront dining. Serious concerns are the quality and taste of the food and restroom cleanliness. Restroom reveals what could have happened behind the kitchen and/or possibly the pride and responsibility of the staff and management. Judge for yourself. Please be brave to order their new chef's menu chef's menu and rate it later. We did not have great experience with the chef's choice. We ordered the Lobster Ravioli for appetizer. Sadly, not only the price was horrifically high, but, it came with just two raviolis and absolutely tasted awful. The raviolis were doughy possibly improperly cooked. The lobster filling was ok as long as you grind a bunch of black pepper and salt on them. Look at the picture and judge the doughy ravioli yourself. We were disappointed with the price of $15 for two terrible raviolis. Sadly, when we shared our concern with the waiter, he just deflected our concerns and never even offered to relay our comments to the chef or management. We were told that that is how they make them and too bad we didn't like it! No comp either which we didn't care about spending the money as long as the dish is good! We ordered shrimp and scallop pasta which turned out better than expected. Quite a small portion though since the dish is $28! Do I recommend this place visitors visiting Siesta Key for the first time and have limited time to taste all the restaurants? NO! Better spend your time and money at the Village with plenty of other excellent reviewed restaurants. Unfortunate for us since we had unpleasant appetizer and overpriced meal. I guess we paid for the ambient only and can't positively rave on the food, pricing and service.
