Vernona Gourmet - Sarasota

The service was exceptional. Our server was a slender young man who smiled constantly and was extremely gracious and friendly, handling our orders perfectly. The food was excellent as well, showcasing a Hungarian theme. I ordered the traditional Hungarian breakfast, and it was out of this world. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant, and we look forward to trying it out for dinner.

I booked a reservation through Resy, but when we arrived, the hostess informed us that there was no space available for us. I then spoke with the manager, showed her my email confirmation, but she apologetically said there was still no room. I ended up waiting in the bar area and had a nice waitress who took care of us while we waited.

My friends and I had a lovely quiet dinner. Our server was friendly, although they could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We shared a dessert of sponge cake with chocolate sauce, raspberries, and whipped cream. It was absolutely delightful! We will definitely be coming back!

We had a burger and a beer and the bigger was quality meat and cooked perfect. fresh tomato’s with great flavor a lettuce that was crisp. The bun was homemade Hungarian style and was excellent. French fries with skin on…yummy. Waitress from Turkey was friendly and very nice. We will be back.
