Yuniku - Sarasota

At the arrival the manager said he had not our reservation and mentioned that he had tried to accept opentable reservations several times with her company. it didn't matter because the restaurant was almost empty. food quality seems to have declined since our previous visit. will not come back as there are many better sushi bars in the city and lower price not for medium quality.

We always love going to Yuniku. Their owner and staff are very friendly and deliver good service. Their all-you-can-eat sushi, hibachi and more is all prepared when the orders are placed. Their specialty sushi rolls are outstanding and if you like something spicy, try their spicy miso soup. Their all you can eat menu also includes lots of Japanese appetizers, soups, stir fry and dessert. They also have an ala carte menu and a happy hour. We highly recommend Yuniku.

If you like all you can eat restaurants and the quality that usually goes hand in hand with the experience, this place is for you. Very pretty with great service. Not for me. I prefer higher quality food.

This was our first and last time to go to Yuniku. The Ambience is nice the bar is nice. Our bartender Alex was great, but not very familiar with wine. The wine she gave my wife (which is her one of her favorites-Pine Ridge), was flat. So it had no open date or mark on it for Alex to even know how many days it had been open. Now to the food: Wow, you can get better sushi at a grocery store. Seriously, I think the fish comes to them frozen, because there is no way that was fresh catch. Needless to say, this meal was very disappointing. The only bright spot, was the hibachi food. We had Chicken/Broccoli and Gen Tso’s Chicken. Both were surprisingly good. The endless sushi dinner is $24.95 and the alcoholic drinks are very over-priced. Maybe the $14.95 lunch would be worth the trip, but don’t get your hopes up. I wish overall that it was better than it was, because it could have been a new restaurant on our list in the area...

What a treat on our vacation to discover all you can eat sushi for 23.95. And it was actually good! Add on appetizers and hibachi food. We were stuffed. In a good way. Go go go!
