The Blue Hen - Saratoga Springs

I was overly impressed. The meal was 5 stars plus. But tonight’s service was 10 stars. We arrived to find only one person working— personnel issues early in the day left the one waiter/host/busboy/server was working— Mike. I’ll admit i was skeptical and worried our Anniversary dinner was not going to be to enjoyable. But He was by far the best waiter we’ve had for a very long time. He handled the entire restaurant like he owned it. He was assisted by the manager — Steve??? who was also 5 stars+ in his knowledge and professionalism and his personal touch. Again he was working like an owner and you felt like he he was the owner!! We were surprised by Steve at our table with a bottle of very very good Prosecco one of the finest we’ve had in a long time too— that was ordered and paid for by the best In laws a guy could ever wish for— thanks Pammy and Jim!! I cant say enough of how good the food was, the apps, dinner and desert five stars all of them. I think no matter what we ordered it was going to be 5 stars!! I can’t wait to go back. !!

We had a fabulous meal for Father’s Day. Every item on the menu was perfect...from the grilled trout, chicken, pork, duck and ribs to the baby potatoes, corn bread, fruit and vegetables and desserts ALL PERFECT. The staff is gracious and friendly, well-prepared and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful day�

One of the best meals and experiences in Saratoga. Thoroughly impressed by the service as well! Will be definitely going again in the future!
