I ordered a very big takeout order (20 dishes) for our father’s 93rd. birthday. The food was all very delicious, great size shrimp and chicken pieces.? This was not our first time ordering from them, but they definitely deserve the review. We recommend Golden Star Chinese Restaurant, Brights Grove and we will be ordering again!

The last two times I have bought food there I new something was up as the high quality that I was used to was not there, the food was bland and did not seem as fresh and then I found out that it has a new owner and it all made sense. What a pity !That was 3 years ago but I just tried it again in December or 2022 and a complete turnaround. Excellent food, fresh ingredients and really tasty. Chicken curry, chow mein and veg spring rolls, all excellent. I’ll give it 5 stars. We’ll worth checking out.

The food was quite disappointing.Like something out of a freezer or old left overs from a chinese buffet.No utensils or napkins in takeout bag.. my english was not understood correctly and the order was wrong, etc.

Decided to order even though the reviews pretty much told us not too. Should have listened. This is the worst Chinese food I’ve eaten. No flavour, ready in 10 minutes which is absurd. How do you make fresh food in 10 minutes? Chicken balls where very oddly shaped with dark meat. Hardly any meat in the dishes. After you’ve eaten at Petrolia’s Chinese nothing compares. Don’t waste your money
