However, we have found the service lacking for newcomers; it seems to be a place for locals who know the owners. The food is good, typical but not terrific. It's a good place to stop if you're hiking or Sunday driving.
Did you come to Italy looking for that family, home cooked meal feel at a restaurant? This is your place. It's an entirely family operation from the cooking to the serving (I think the grandmother cooks, the daughter is the waitress, and the 7 year old granddaughter brings you the menus) that will give you exactly what you need after spending a day in the mountains. Everything was DELICIOUS. We had minestrone to start with polenta and mushrooms and sausage, polenta, and kraut. We finished with a semifreddo and strudel. I would come back here every night it was the best meal of our trip. A truly authentic meal in a great setting a traditional South Tyrolean lodge in the woods.
Just finished with the dinner. Staff fast and accurate. I ate polenta, sauerkraut, soup with knoedls, rabbit meat, strudel. All cooked well. Portions are abundant. Very good to recuperate some calories after the day of trekking. Place is also very clean. Just keep up the good job.
Ristorante di montagna molto bello e intimo gestito in modo familiare, cibo ottimo e tipico del posto, non fa mai male la simpatica e gentilezza dei gestori che ti fanno sentire come a casa
Ottimo cibo, porzioni generose, servizio cortese e veloce, prezzi onesti.
