Eating was good, but the staff apparently had with awards from the school of indifferent and rude '. we were there on Sunday too midday and although we did not book were late enough to enjoy a second session. oh, and I mentioned that they are expensive compared to other local restaurants even the superb michelin rated angel, and ald saschwalle (incredible friendly, fantastic eating, scenic and excellent value for money 3 times in a stay.) crispy cottage was a mistake not to be repeated.

Eating here was brilliant, the menu is full of local specialties (an English translation was available) which we highly recommend, especially the hot cauldron and the saschwalle schwein. the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I can't comment inwards, as both nights. it was warm enough to eat in the beautiful garden.

Very local (game meat we have delicious love ragout,) fresh and elaborated feeds. meat perfectly cooked, lovely decoration, nice and attentive staff. only dessert are a bit disappointing

A group of six wanted to try another restaraunt in sasbachwalden. it was quickly inherited to a table with fast service for a beverage order. sit a bit hard, but the sitting opportunities among the old reben gathered the attack on the floor was the menu...read more with traditional and local products and the whole party was for. good service, fast, largish portions of very good quality. checks several times whether we need more drinks, menus in English for those who do not require adventurous or German. all in all, a great experience that should be tried.

My wife and I drove via Schwarzwald Hochstraße from Baden Baden which was beautiful and as perfect an Alpine drive as can be but not for those not use to driving in the mountains in Germany. We were impressed with this restaurant as we were...of The beauty getting there. The A5 is shorter and more direct. The food was very good and the presentation just as nice. If you want elegant dining this restaurant is not for you. If you are looking for local fare with a local ambience then this is the place. Very Black Forrest atmosphere which is similar to Bavarian Hof restaurants we have been to. The two waitresses we very attentive and the food was well cooked which is different than well done which in my mind is over cooked. Highly recommended it if you are looking for comfort food at a comfortable price in a grape vine covered Biergärten. Bring a few German words with you please, thank you, etc. they go a long way.
