Feedback gevenThe lobster chowder was outstanding. Unfortunately, my meal was comped because my sirloin was undercooked, and I didn’t have the time to send it back. The peppers were amazing—some of the best I’ve ever tasted—but the mashed potatoes were extremely dry, like cocoa, even though there was a huge portion. Spending over $100 for two people felt a bit excessive, and I would suggest checking out The Keg for a better meal at a similar price.
This is a lovely high-end restaurant. We visited on New Year’s Day for a special evening out. The food is well-prepared and usually beautifully presented. The service is attentive without being intrusive. However, some tables lack adequate lighting, making it difficult to read the menu. We noticed at least two couples ask to be seated at a different table because of this issue. Their online menu includes prices, so you can review them before your visit.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was even better. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes and side dishes were outstanding. The dessert was decent but not particularly remarkable. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Sandman Signature Hotel.
Was in Saskatoon for a concert today, was recommended Chop by a friend and WOW! 5 star experience. Food and drink was great, the mains were on the pricier side-not an issue and not unusual for a place like this, but dessert, drinks, and appetizers were all priced very well. Our server Teneal was very friendly, and I liked the way she handles tables-I?m not a fan of when severs are over the top friendly but she was perfect. To the point and very friendly. Will be back! Great atmosphere too, felt bouje without being too fancy.
I would consider this place a special restaurant for special occasions. I could find no faults in the decor, atmosphere, service, or food quality/ presentation. I ordered sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato. This came with roasted beet, and steamed baby bok choy. Steak was ordered medium rare and in my opinion was done perfectly. Very good quality beef. Just the right amount of seasoning. Others at my table ordered fillet minion, prime rib, and a wild mushroom and goat cheese dip with crostini. This was paired with a bottle of Baron Montalto Cabernet Sauvignon. Pineapple upside down cake with gelato for dessert. Server was attentive but not distractive. Price
