Little Grouse On The Prairie

I called to see if they had a spot for a solo eater, they sat me at the kitchen bar, which was fun. The serving staff were so kind and attentive, knowledgeable advice on menu items and wines. LOVED everything I ate. The arugula salad was perfect ahead of the MOST DIVINE mushroom ricotta ravioli!!! the ravioli's were thin and fine. you could really taste and chew the mushroom filling. It was topped with lots of Hazelnuts making it super hearty. I only had room for their amazing rhubarb sorbet for dessert and it was also spectacular. GO!

Very hard-working team of cooks and waitress created nice atmosphere for the birthday in our family! Nice food, knowledgeable waitress and friendly quick service make this restaurant a special place to go to on special occasion. We came, we ate, we were amazed! Love it! Will come again!

This Saskatoon restaurant was more than accommodating during our first time visit. After finding Little Grouse on the Prairie via the internet and knowing that they offered vegan/vegetarian dish we decided to visit during our three day stay. As a restaurant specializing in Italian dishes they came across as authentic with the choices they offered. The host for our table discussed my wife’s dietary needs and in discussions with the chef she presented her with a number of options to choose from. I had the meatballs followed by a main of Ricotta Ravioli. My wife was presented with pasta and broccoli and walnuts. Both meals were exceptional and enjoyed thoroughly. Not only was the food a 5/5 but the staff was lovely in their welcoming us to their restaurant. Hearing of my wife’s dietary concerns the host sat with us and gave 3-4 other recommendations for restaurants in Saskatoon. I can’t say I’ve had that happen before. The evening was a great success.

Wife and I visit the best restaurants where ever we travel, so we have a bit of experience. Little Grouse was terrific. We have the meatballs, salad (world class), risotto, and spinach tortellini. Stuffed ourselves, but it was worth it. Tim is a wonderful and inventive chef. Waite staff was very experienced. Fantastic wine. Would not hesitate to recommend. BTW: The older reviews were for past chef and menu. No longer appropriate.

This is a great little restaurant theDill and capers pasta was some of the finest we've ever eaten Call ahead it's not very large but it sure worth checking out! Great staff great service and great food how do you go wrong
