Then food orders went in at 6 by 7 we were watching then sit under the hot lights in the kitchen. We started asking for our food and we’re assured that they would be right up! 730 arrives as slowly plates start to come out. Plates are hot food not so much! Bread is dried out to the point it can not be ate. Pasta has a dried out yellow appearance and pulled pork is like jerky it’s so dried out. I would not recommend this stone bridge location to anyone!
Went to Rock Creek on McCormack Drive for our anniversary supper. Waitress was very pleasant and atmosphere was nice. When we went to order we were told that there was no brisket available but they would substitute it with pulled prime rib. One dish we order was the brisket, now pulled prime rib, and sausage on mashed potatoes with mushrooms. Presentation was less than stellar, lots of mashed potatoes, very little pulled prime rib and the mushrooms were over cooked. The second dish was the the 3 meat dinner which included pulled prime rib, instead of brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Again presentation was poor. It looked like they took the left over meats, barely warmed them up and poured bbq sauce on top of them. Thank goodness the stuffed potato was hot. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms which were tiny and just places on a dish and were also just barely warm. After we voiced our concerns about our meals they discounted our meals. Will probably never go back anytime soon for a meal there.
We were very disappointed with our meal, considering the price we paid. I had the Budda chicken rice bowl. Basically, for 20.00, I got some rice, some sliced cucumber, a table spoon of beans, and a whole pile of veggies and pineapple covered with teriyaki sauce. There was maybe 5 or6 small cubes of chicken in the entire meal. This must be a real money maker for them by hardly putting any meat in the dish. My wife had a chicken wrap, and it was the most bland wrap she has ever had. No taste what so ever to it. Our waitress was great, and service was good. The couple we were with said their meals were ok , but again, very little flavor. I hate giving bad reviews of restaurants, but we won 't come back to rock creek. Very expensive for the quality of food.
We ate here with company in from out of town for a late dinner. We had steak at the recommendation of the staff. The 10 oz NY was $30 and not really a full 10 oz or a prime AAA cut of meat either. For that price I’d rather eat at the Keg about 2 KM away in Brighton. Or better yet go to Boston Pizza across the parking lot and have a way better NY for $10 less and get a true 10 oz er. The quality of the sides was good and the presentation very nice, but portions were way too “Artisan” for what we were paying. The taste was just ok. The atmosphere is very nice and it’s a bit of a step up in ambiance from BP’s, so I guess youre paying for the experience. Lastly we had FANTASTIC service from our server on the bar side of the establishment. Bottom line its not fine dining, but they charge like it. If you need something in the far north east corner of the city, it will do.
Won't go back! Both of us got hamburgers and the meat and additions were ok but the buns were awful! Apparently they use pretzel buns but they were hard (stale? and so dense. They weren't warm either. Couldn't eat the bun. Not a great match for a burger. Manager not at all helpful.
