Truffles Bistro - Saskatoon

Stumbled across this little gem. Staff were very friendly and professional. Food was nicely presented and tasty. Nothing bad to say about this one.

Recently my husband and I had dinner at Truffles Bistro. We had never been here before and have wanted to try this restaurant for a very long time. Many people over the years have said that this place is a really high end dining experience.... well maybe it used to be. After all the build up we thought the food would be really excellent, but we were quite disappointed to discover that it was mediocre at best. The salad came with barely any dressing and our steaks had quite a bit of fat on them. The meal was tasty enough, but no more so than any other average restaurant in Saskatoon.

It's pricey, but if you appreciate fine dining, excellent food and service it is worth it. We had a very nice evening, spent several hours here and the staff was great.

On our weekend in Saskatoon we found we couldn't get a reservation at our first choice and decided on Truffles even though we had eaten there before (it had been several years ago). We were very happy with the experience.We started with the olives and roasted tomatoes - very tasty - and the charcuterie plate - generous portion with excellent condiments. Our mains were the duck and the lamb. Both were done just right and came with remarkably good garnish. The cheese plate at the end was both very well put together and amazingly generous.Ambiance and service were great. Food is a bit pricey but portions are large, and they do have a reasonably priced 3-course if budget is a concern.

My first time at Truffles for dinner, a group of us decided to have a special night out on the town. All of us were glad we choose Truffles.The staff make you feel that it is a special evening, regardless of the reason. We were met at the door and our heavy winter coats quickly taken away.The menu offers a enough variety and is enticing enough to try different things. Superb duck dish.There were cocktail specials on, that were delicious. Cosy atmosphere.
