I have been a loyal patron of Vithal Kamats for years and I prefer it over any other restaurant or roadside eatery on the highway. The restaurant is clean and serves delicious food.
We stopped at Vithal Kamat restaurant on our way back from Amba Ghat to Pune. It is located on the outskirts of Satara on the left side of the road heading towards Pune. It is a franchise exit. We ordered various items including idli, vada, and wobeln uthappa with chutney. The chutney was okay, the sambar was not good, but the idli and uthappa were decent. Overall, our experience was average. However, the worst part was the poorly maintained and broken toilets. One of the main reasons for stopping at such outlets on the highway is for clean toilet facilities, which were not provided here (especially at around 10 o'clock in the morning). It seems like the management is not interested in maintaining clean toilets. Vithal Kamat's management should conduct regular quality checks at their franchise outlets if they want to uphold their brand image.
Located directly on the national carbahn mumbai bangalore, this restaurent is easily accessible and identifiable. parking is available along with quite decent toilet facilities. the restaurent offers comfortable seating with good views of the outside world. the menu offers various vegetarian dishes. maharashtrian thali is very beautiful and. you can see that the items are prepared and served freshly. service is also good.
I was going to Goa through NH4. I was supposed to stop at the restaurant ' Milestone ', but I missed it. So,I decided to go to Vithal Kmat. Though, I didn 't eat there, I had stopped for a bathroom break. The bathroom was so shabby.... There were footsteps marks everywhere. People didn 't even bother to flush. There was a bathroom where it was written ' Washroom for staff '. Even though it was written for staff, guests who ate at Vithal Kamat were allowed over there. The owner was very rude to us when we tried accessing the clean one. It was very shabby and dirty
