Great prices and amazing food! Everything on their menu is delicious especially their onion rings. Love that they are dog friendly, too!

Then patronizing this business for almost 40 years and after my experience there this afternoon I won't ever be back.

Hadn’t been here since they moved. Food was just as good. My wife loved hers as it also brought back great memories.

Doubles Beachside 1612 Hwy. A1A Satellite Beach, FL 32937 2 Stars Oh, how the mighty have fallen. When they first opened back in 1983, Doubles subs were the rage of Mel-Hi. These days, you would be considered a gudgeon if you went more than twice. The rating I gave it should probably be lower based on the items to be discussed. Perhaps nostalgia played a part in an extra star. Claudia is our server today. I found her to be extremely charming and efficient. She was the highlight of the experience. I asked Claudia for one Smash Hoagie and one Cheesesteak. Before I even get into the review, I implore you to look at the pics! Just look at them!!! First up was the Smash Hoagie. The bread was fresh and tasty, which is important in a sandwich, just as important as the filling. Speaking of which, I am fairly certain there is processed meat in there somewhere. On a personal safety note, NEVER eat the rainbow slime on Roast Beef or Grey Turkey. Ever. Other than that, it was a fine example of a Hoagie. Not. Prodding the Cheesesteak with a fork first (checking for anything off-color), I determined all at least looked fine and so proceeded to chaw off a hunk. All in all, it wasn't a bad Cheesesteak, the bread was fresh, the meat not top shelf, but not from the dregs of the food service barrel either; however, the shrooms were definitely canned. Is it really all that difficult, time-consuming, and profitable eating to slice some fresh shrooms in the morning? The Big Boy says, “Take your kids as they won't complain; otherwise, Don's Hoagies is 1000 times better than this below-average fare.” PS I anticipate people screaming about how their experience was different and this is a local icon, neighborhood favorite...yadda yadda yadda.
