Sauda Fjordhotell - Saudasjoeen

Its a old hotel. And it can be seen. It smels like a old hotel as well. I had a sort of apartment. With big gaps between the walls and ceiling to out doors. They are friendly and do their best. Location is beautiful. It just need loads of work to get it up to date

A balanced review. They sell a 120cm bed as a double bed in a family room, which was just a cabin outside, with no curtains, we had to manage with towels etc. Furthermore the breakfast was disappointing, a very small buffet, with very few choice of dishes. That may be explained by the sanitary context. However the staff was very friendly, we had a very pleasant evening in the bar/ billard room with piano etc. It could have been a very nice stay.

We got a nice cozy cabin, everything is very nice and clean. The staff is very nice and welcoming, we felt at home immidiately. In the morning we ate breakfast, good quality food. The cabins also support dogs. Coming back here next year!

Great hotel We stayed for 4 nights in mid September in the annex. When we arrived on the Sunday evening we were the only guests, however the next morning a full buffet breakfast had been laid out and we were offered eggs, etc. Then a group of conference attendees appeared, so being in the annex was great for us. The next morning again the full breakfast was available and we were again waited on and offered anything we thought was missing. Great quiet hotel in a fantastic location, take a day's ferry trip to Stavanger 2.5 hours each way is a great way to see the Fjords.
