Auroras West Side - SAULT

Went for lunch in the Sault. The chicken parm sandwich was good, if not a true sub as I would have preferred. The pasta looked ok. Red sauce was good. Fries were frozen breaded sodium bomb variety which I don’t like. The pizza was a...problem: dense, bread- like crust,. I assume they probably use frozen dough. Maybe a little better than Domino’s overall. This is sad because I remember their pizza being much much better: hand tossed, risen thin crust with the bubbles and the chewiness that you’d expect at great pizza places.

Ordered takeout over the weekend. Chicken Parmigiana was most and flavourful. Very good. Will definitely order again.

While we were told our food would fly out in days it did not,we spent between myself and another family each ,our delivery date kept getting pushed back due to their personal reasons,we were patient never bothered them,our food came a week later...after being promised day delivery,needless to say our food was spoiled,they were going to look into it,that was months ago! Terrible service and were out money with no recourse. We lost our food and our money.

I just don’t understand the reviews that say the pizza is good. I suppose if you like a very thick, dense, tasteless crust with scant toppings, then you will like their pizza. We did not! Also, the “Greek” pizza, which my husband ordered, said it...had Greek olives. They were not. They were those boring canned black olives. The decor is modern but sterile. Maybe that is good these days, but there was not a touch of colour, or anything to please the eye. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but TripAdvisor isn’t useful unless folks are honest about their experiences.

I chose this restaurant based on the great reviews I found online and the menu. The food was amazing so filling we had to take most of it home. Reasonably priced as well. The dining room felt very clean. Though it wasn't busy and...there were plexiglass barriers at the top of the booths, however there were guests in every booth. This made us feel a little nervous because usually we see every other booth being used. Additionally, while our server was great, we ordered a pasta that was spicier than expected. After we asked for another sauce to cool it down, she said she knew that it was very spicy. It would have been nice of her to mention this when we ordered, as there was no indicator that it was a spicy dish.
