Le Montagnole - Saumur

Excellent food, good value. Mussels were delicious.

Situé dans une des rues principales de Saumur ce restaurant propose une nourriture solide. Solide menu à 33 EUR un peu cher quand même. Très bons poissons.

Very good reception, very good special cheese. we wanted to test the raclette with the famous device with the half-meule on it, but regrets because it takes too much room on the table and is really not top (at our taste) to serve the melted cheese. We will return without hesitation for the savoyard fondue and the burgerons.

There was an eternity that I no longer ate a savoyard fondue and when I learned by digging on a trip that it was one of the great specialties of the Montagnole, I did not hesitate to book immediately. Indeed, on the one hand, the restaurant is adorned (even by these cold times, three people wait patiently outside that a table is released) and on the other hand the fondue to the P.P. ceps that we had chosen was perfect at all points of view. note: you have to be two to order this greed. on the side of the vine, the premont we have tasted at the accompaniment is especially recommended, although the glass is wisely priced on the other hand, the cover plate costs what is excessive compared to the quantity proposed. It is also possible to regret the absence of some salad leaves, whose freshness would be welcome. other roborative dishes we saw scrolling were abundantly provided. as to service, it is fairly friendly and effective. we know: the restaurant is at the corner of the streets of Saint-Nicolas and the slopes, both pedestrians. So we have to prepare ourselves to walk a little!
