Edgar's Proof Provision - Savannah

Outstanding customer service! This charming little restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel where we are staying (The Desoto). The fish and chips were delicious, and the cheese plate was quite impressive, especially when paired with strawberry puree (don’t dismiss it until you’ve tasted it). The iced tea was excellent, too! Plus, there was wonderful live music to enjoy.

This was our first visit to Proof Provision, and my husband and I arrived a bit early, which allowed us to select a lovely spot on the patio with a stunning view of Liberty Street. We enjoyed some cocktails and opted for a few appetizers since we weren’t quite hungry enough for main courses. The roasted Brussels sprouts were fantastic—crispy and topped with a delicious sweet tomato compote and goat cheese. We also tried the barbecue chicken flatbread, which was really good as well.

Fantastic dishes and drinks as well as great acoustic guitars. Katie our server was such a pleasure, she always smiled and made the night fantastic. The pulled pork, pork cattle, and beef tacos were all tasteful and complicated good. Drinks mixed perfectly and outside veranda gives you a real Savannah feeling.

That was the first time my husband and I were Proof Provision. We were early so we could choose where we wanted to sit on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Liberty Street. We enjoyed some cocktails and had some appetizers because we were not hungry enough to eat admirers. We had the roasted brussel sprouts that were amazing they crispy and had a tomato sweet compote and goat cheese on it, it was amazing. We also had a grill chicken flatbread that burst with taste, thin and crispy. I recommend sitting out here and looking at the famous Liberty Street. And in the evening they have a live guitarist who was very pleasant.
