I ordered the blackened grouper, which was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his pork chop as well. My favorite side dish was the baked beans; they were wonderfully smoky and flavorful, while the macaroni and cheese didn’t quite impress me. They also offered us some Brunswick stew to taste, and it was quite enjoyable. The cobbler we had for dessert was good too!
I visited hoping for some great barbecue, but unfortunately, Tricks was permanently closed and Randy's doesn’t open on Mondays. We ended up ordering ribs, chicken, macaroni, green beans, and collard greens. Everything was really disappointing. The meat was boiled and lacked any hint of smoke flavor. The sides were also bland and completely unseasoned. I was really let down and I won’t be returning.
I stepped in on a whim after having some issues with my phone next door. I opted for a pulled pork sandwich with fries, and I was pleasantly surprised. The pork was tender and had a lovely smoky flavor. The fries were enjoyable as well, although the added pepper caught me off guard. Will I return? Yes, I believe I will.
I had a slab of ribs during my first visit to this restaurant, and they were the best I've had in over 20 years of being in Savannah.
I ordered ribs and smoked wings, but everything tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. It wasn't the best experience.
