The Shellhouse Seafood - Savannah

Bustling restaurant that looked absolutely packed yet were able to seat us quickly. Super quick service known for incredible seafood. The crab legs were some of the best I’ve ever had (and we live at the beach). Very well run facility.

I usually read reviews before selecting a place and this place supposedly had 4.4 stars. I would never recommend this place—it’s overpriced and overrated. I ordered a sweet Arnold Palmer and got an unsweetened tea. Then I was given a sweet tea—never got what I ordered or was given an explanation. The snow crabs were so over cooked they were dry (see third picture), the potato salad was terrible and the corn on the cob tasted like it had been sitting in liquid for hours. The server was not good, when we told her about the crab she said nothing and walked away. At least the shrimp we ordered was good. Don’t waste your time and money here.

The food was plentiful but you pay for it. The drinks were for real. Our waitress was very attentive and deserved every bit of the tip we gave her. We took plenty of food home just that much. Still had some to eat today. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that accommodates wheelchair access.

Food was great except for green beans. No one who ordered them in our party enjoyed them

Haven't been here since moving back to Savannah area 7 years ago, took my wife here for date night we walked in as they opened and our food was delivered 10 minutes after we ordered it, the waitstaff AWESOME, the owner visited our table twice and talked to us like we knew each other for years ...so much shrimp to take home and it was cooked just right!!! Glad you are opened again!
