Ordered: Moroccan Tagine and Burgerplex 5000 & Marblz (Seriously, pretentious sounding burger) and Kids fried & kids sliders. We went for the vegan
Found this wonderful, super friendly, quaint Alsatian cuisine restaurant on our way to Selestat from Paris. Stopped here in Severne for dinner and found a beautiful, quaint restaurant with the nicest, most personable, local new friends who helped us order (no English speaking servers or translations here). Our dinner consisted of a huge platter of savory meats, sausages, duck confit, cured and braised pork which our new friends ordered on our behalf and a wonderful Riesling. Plentiful and satisfying and very sweet. A memorable experience.
On our recent trip to Saverne we were shattered so needed something to eat and saverne is quite pricey. Came across Carpe d'or as it looked very attractive. It's run by a Mum and her daughter, who were both very friendly and spoke some English too.The menu was quite gourmet but we picked the burgers which were unusual but tasty. I also had a chocolate desert which was superb. It was a pleasant atmosphere, clean toilets and got busy around 8ish so is clearly a popular choice. Would recommend if you want a nice ambience and some real Alsace food.
