La Barcaccia - SAVONA

It is perfect Italian restaurant with all italian experience. Prices are middle range or even lower. Staff are super sweet even though they don't speak english and Google translate are main tool to communicate. Main food is pasta or sea food. You can get some dishes not from meniu. I will totally recommend to have a glass of wine to feel real taste of food

My cousin knew that I craved a treat from my childhood: the black rice. This is a typical ligurian recipe where the rice is cooked in squid ink, hence is completely pitch black. There are other places that propose the same plate but they use colorants. Not this one: they really cook it in the natural squid ink, and the taste is really special, I would say unique. I cannot rate the five stars because I did not try the rest of the menu, but my wife tried the Pesto and she says it was almost as good as when I make it, and that says something ...

Spaghetti with delicious and abundant cartoccio, appetizer sea mixed delicious with excellent white of the house.

Dinner above expectations. very plentiful portions, courteous staff.
