Fire Dutch's Jamaican Takeout

I have been trying various chicken restaurants throughout the city for several months. While in the area, I decided to visit this restaurant based on its reviews. The establishment was average, with a hot and dingy atmosphere. The portion size was generous and the quality was decent, but the chicken was dry. The highlight was the flavorful oxtail gravy. Unfortunately, the man forgot to include my coleslaw.

I tried Jamaican food for the first time and it was truly a transformative experience. Unfortunately, I fear that I may have set the bar too high by visiting this restaurant first, as the food was exceptional. I highly recommend this place, and would give it a rating of 10/10.

This ain’t it chief.Maybe because of the lack of traffic, the food is sitting. I’m sure it’s made fresh that day, however, when I ate there, it was evident it was sitting under a warmer.Didn’t help that the guy behind the counter was salty when I asked if coleslaw was extra.
