Kandahar Kabab is at the south-east corner of Markham Rd and Finch, parking is at the side of the building or around the back, and it's free. The decor of the restaurant is quite pleasant and interesting; there is a water feature by the door, water flowing down a glass wall, and on the walls are large photographs of the landscape and people of Afghanistan. This is the second time we have visited this restaurant, and once again everybody enjoyed their meals very much. For dining in, customers line up at the cash to order, pay, and find a table to sit at. The cashiers give you a number and will call out your number when your food is ready so make sure you are listening for it! If you are hoping to have dinner there on the weekend or on a holiday it's better if you go earlier in the evening as the place can get really, really busy. There can also be a bit of a crowd around the cash area as people who have ordered their takeout wait for their orders to be ready. We had the whole fish with a side order of salad $(15), Chicken Breast Kabobs, the Kabul Kabab (Tikka
This is my favorite Afghan restaurant! If you're hesitant about going, trust me, you should go! In my opinion, it is much better than Bamiyan. My favorite dish is the Herati kebab.
I visited this restaurant with two friends for lunch on New Year's Day. The service was mediocre.
This is my second visit to this restaurant. The first time, I didn't notice much because the crowd and line were shorter.
