Lucky Chinese (haka) - Scarborough

The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! I tried Singapore noodles, Chilli chicken, garlic chicken, vegetable pakora, and sweet sour soup. This is definitely the best Hakka restaurant I have been to, even better than big chains like Frederick's and Hakka Wok. The portions are very generous and the containers are packed to the point where it's hard to close the lid. The Singapore noodles and garlic chicken were the best I have ever had, 100% authentic and great value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Hakka food!

What the f happened to this place. Chilli chicken s so oily and tastes so different. The Manchuria beed chow mein is weird, all flavours of the dishes are so off. They need to get back on track before they lose their valuable customers. So much oil can't even digest no more.

I have been a frequent customer at this restaurant and I absolutely love the food! However, I recently discovered that the food may not be halal. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I reached out to them to ask for the contact information of their supplier to verify. Unfortunately, both locations refused to provide this information, which I find unethical. A large portion of their clientele are Muslim and they advertise their food as halal, so it is crucial that they confirm the source and quantity of their meat. Failing to provide this information could have a negative impact on their business and may lead to potential legal issues for falsely claiming to serve halal food. I would greatly appreciate a detailed response from the owner. Thank you.
