Sushi Legend Scarborough

The place was busy when we went and for good reason! The service was pretty quick (although, not too personable. They just drop by with the food and speed off). We were happy with most of the menu items we chose, especially for the price, as it is just $38 per person. They have a pretty decent menu and a good variety of dessert options as well. I'd say the food is good for what you're paying. It's a huge restaurant with plenty of tables, so we had no wait time when we went during peak dinner hours. The only issue we really had was having to reorder certain items because we didn't receive them the first time we ordered it. With that being said, it's likely going to be on my list for go-to spots for AYCE restaurants.

The food overall was good, however near the end of the meal a rubber band was chewed up upon and pointed out. Along side with another person who ate the enoki mushrooms wrapped with beef, they too felt the rubbery feeling however they swallowed it whole thinking it was nothing. The sever was quick to send over what seemed like a manger who assisted us by assuring a discounted price for the inconvenience. However when it came time to pay the bill, there was a special discount but no cash discount. As I have been here multiple times I wondered why there was no cash discount. When this was brought up to the cashier counter, the employee brushed off the fact that the bill had no cash discount and rudely added that we did not have to pay cash, we could pay card too. The experience at the counter was not expected, thus when leaving the restaurant the mood was a little rough rather than bright and happy.

Went for ayce lunch during the week. $29 plus tax. Good variety and sushi was decent. Food came quickly and they only missed one of my orders. Only complaint I have is that a lot of the grilled meats were too sweet and after having ordered my desserts and just about to eat them, the waiter asked me if I wanted the bill. It had only been 1.5 hours so I wasn't over the 2 hour mark and they could clearly see I had just got my dessert so that really annoyed me. If you don't like being rushed while eating, avoid this place.

I like it.I celebrated my birthday here recently. Please be mindful of the two hour limit as it is strictly enforced. Food comes out relatively fast. I like that there are multiple servers and bus boys . Drinks taste a little watered down but just imagine you are drinking the diet version of your drink. : You must absolutely try their tea.
