Booked in advance to be told once seated that the majority of the menu unavailable. Burger and chips are £14 a total rip off. A handful of frozen cheap fries and a dry old burger. Had to leave the burger as wouldn't even feed it to a dog. Worst meal of the holiday and extortionate prices for food worse than a brewers fayre.
Lovely little dog friendly pub. Bar staff are lovely, very welcoming. Ordered our first drink and loved the fact they asked if the dog needed a drink too. Nice touch! The food is slightly expensive but we only ate out one night. £6 a pint. £6 for a tea and coffee. The curry is nice. The pizzas are good. Me and my sons really liked it. Nice and relaxed. Everyone so friendly. We'll definitely be back next Halloween
We stayed on the Bay village and thought we would try this place, whilst it is convenient to walk to my God how expensive. 4 mains and drinks kids on soft drinks) came to £140 . The service was ok and the food was nice, it’s dog friendly as well. It’s just the astronomical cost, we didn’t go back once bitten twice shy. If we had let the kids have dessert, I dread to think what the total cost would have been.
Having been a regular visitor to The Bay for the past 6 years we have been to the on site pub many times. Inside is lovely and comfortable with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The most positive point for us is that it is dog friendly everywhere inside. However as a vegetarian and a vegan the most disappointing aspect is the menu itself, or rather the lack of choices on the menu. There is only one option on the main menu, the vegan risotto which was OK. There is a vegan pizza also available which my husband had, but as the veggie person he didn't like the vegan cheese. There needs to be more options eg you could offer a veggie version of the sausage and mash or the burgers. Last time we visited we had a jackfruit pie which was fantastic but this time there was only a lamb pie available. We will be returning to The Bay in a few months time but won't be eating here again unless the menu improves.
