Sakura Sushi - Scarsdale

This restaurant truly deserves a five-star rating, which I don't give lightly. The attention to detail is remarkable, especially for diners on the go. As soon as you step inside, you are greeted by beautiful décor, and the seating is prompt with a staff that genuinely cares. What impressed me the most were the five sushi chefs, all in uniform, consistently preparing exquisite dishes. The food is simply outstanding. The vegetables they use are not your typical options; for instance, they featured freshly cut asparagus mushroom caps. The steak was incredibly tender, the salmon was exceptionally fresh, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful.

Sakura boasts a fantastic and convenient location. While it is on the pricier side compared to other sushi spots in the area, the quality of the sushi is evident. The staff is dedicated and puts in a lot of effort to ensure every order is just right. Although take-out may take a bit longer to prepare, which is understandable given the quality, there is limited space for waiting inside the restaurant. The presentation of the food is impressive and very appealing.

There’s no reason for anyone to rate this place with just one star, especially since the reviewer didn’t even try the sushi at a sushi restaurant! The ambiance is lovely and the establishment is impressively clean, which isn’t always the case in sushi spots. The staff is friendly and attentive. I enjoyed miso soup and a salad with my tekka don salmon, and everything was excellent. The tekka don itself was substantial, and the fish was incredibly fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant!
