As others have mentioned, the music was loud as we entered, so we had to speak a little louder to hear each other. However, I enjoyed the music selection, even though I didn't recognize any of the songs. The food was tasty - my husband and I shared a burger and fries, and we also ordered macaroni to go, which reheated well. I liked the creative names of the burgers and enjoyed everything about the restaurant. It's definitely worth trying at least once, although I do wish they served wine. Overall, it's not a deal-breaker.
The rating I gave to Kuma?s Corner is based on the overall experience. The location is behind Fidelity Investments in the strip mall. It is very easy to get to and there is ample parking. Upon entering the establishment you hear loud heavy metal musicplaying. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area as well as bar seating. The friendly staff is all dressed in black/gothattire. The menu is creative and specialty burgers are named after heavy metal bands ie; Iron Maiden etc? They have an excellentselection of IPA craft beers at decent prices. So now I understand this is a theme restaurant. The burgers are 10oz patties butthe grind/texture of the meat is a little courser than I like. It?s neat that they have this kind of place and it?s fun to atleast go once but if you?re looking for a relaxing meal, this isn?t the place for that as the music doesn?t warrant that. If youlove heavy metal music, are goth or looking for something different and unusual this is the place!
The food at this restaurant is delicious and comes in large portions. I couldn't finish my meal because it was too much for one person. They have a wide variety of beer options and the service is quick with friendly staff. The only drawback is the heavy metal music playing with horror movies, which I'm not a fan of, but I do enjoy the horror films. I ordered the "Slayer" burger, which came with a spicy patty and a generous serving of fries. The restaurant also offers free wifi.
I finally had the chance to visit Kuma's Corner this past weekend! My friends couldn't stop talking about how it has the best burger in the Midwest, so I was eager to check it out for myself. The restaurant has a metal music theme, with walls adorned with metal band posters and artwork, and metal music playing in the background. Despite the music, it's not too loud, allowing for conversation during dinner. The beer selection is extensive and displayed on a large screen. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. The menu is also metal themed, and I decided to try the Metallica burger with sweet potato fries. Both the fries and burger were delicious, and the portions were generous. Make sure to visit the restroom to see some fun graffiti. I will definitely be returning to Kuma's Corner in the future.
Excellent burgers. Large unique beer menu. Cool theme. If the music bothers you, sit inside where it's not as loud. It's a cool place. A nice change from the usual places. If you like a huge burger with great fries and cold beer, this is your place.
