Poblano Peppers Taqueria - Schaumburg

The food was well-seasoned and reasonably priced, but the steak was not skirt steak; it was a cheaper cut that was one of the toughest steak tortas I've encountered. I really had to struggle to chew and swallow it. To be honest, the only reason I finished it was that I was really hungry. However, I must say that the flavor was spot on, even if the steak was extremely tough.

The ground beef tacos had no taco seasoning at all. They tasted terrible, and I ended up throwing them away.

I wouldn't go out of my way to return. The steak tacos were decent, but not exceptional. The staff was friendly for take-out, though.

We just moved to the neighborhood and BOY ARE WE LUCKY to have such a solid Mexican joint down the street. Strongly recommend the Tampiqueña steak and Chile Relleno dinner. Tacos could use a little more meat on them, but the flavor is where it's at here.
