On a trip to the Schliersee just three years ago I discovered the small, inconspicuous but all the more primitive host house Weißwurstglöckerl. The guest room is below street level and can be reached via a staircase. It only includes a few tables, but in terms of hospitality, the place does not need to hide from the big ones. It is Bavarian Austrian cuisine, which is here kredenzt. Classics like Wiener Schnitzel or live cheese with egg stand on the map or also some breadtime classics. This may not sound much, but because the quality of the food is excellent, it does not need a Nobel climate or Haute Cuisine. I have eaten the best Schnitzel Wiener Art in Bavaria. Instead of a fat meat lobe, which is treaded and drips in front of fat, the carving is thin here and the panade is very airy easy. The potato salad is also a poem. For drinking, you can drink a white beer of the Miesbach brewery Hopf, which is an absolute secret tip for me in white beer. All in all, the Weißwurstglöckerl in Schliersee is a secret tip for friends of the uncomplicated Bavarian hospitality who would like to enjoy deliciously prepared food beer at good prices.
Our first morning and we ( a group of 6) were starving! We were advised by their staff, that white sausage and pretzel were the best way to start the day also a beer, we were unsure what white sausage was, and when it arrived we devoured them, they were GORGEOUS. Great friendly staff. Thank you for making our first Bavarian Breakfast a memorable one.
We were a group of two couples and three very young kids looking for lunch and first tried the more commercialized, highly rated place down the street. They didn't have a big enough place to seat us and the staff was very unfriendly in trying to accommodate us so we decided to try this place instead. So glad we did! A very quaint place that seems to be family run. They had a separate room with one large table that we were able to use (for our advantage as well as that of the other customers in the smallish, quiet main dining room/bar, the kids probably would've been a bit of an annoyance). Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating and the food was perfect! Couldn't ask for a better Bavarian meal.
We were looking for something original, something Bavarian, so we tried a couple of places and they seem to more cater for the tourists, it had started to rain and we thought that's it no more lets just go into the next place we find, and we did, and we found what we were looking for. Great atmosphere, long pine tables that you share with others, really great friendly service and the clincher Bavarian food made to perfections. We were so delighted, many thanks
