The hotel is located directly on the Moselsteig, which crosses the place. Perfectly located for a return of Moselle walkers. The hotel presents itself large, well maintained and with a very striking outdoor terrace. The rooms are also in a neat condition. In our room the bathroom was very attractively renovated. The night was worth your price. In the evening the increasing sunshine allowed to feed outside on the terrace. The kitchen of the Schsofter Hof is a wild mix of all kinds of kitchens. Pizza, pasta, burger, natural, tapas, everything finds its place in the map. If you go well, the North German hiker thinks on the Moselsteig and was somewhat skeptical about the diversity of the bids. A dry rosé wine was ordered and the map was studied. After a long stage you get hungry! The service served baguette slices with a herbal tip as a greeting to the kitchen and we chose our dishes. To the appetizer we ordered original Spanish tapas inlaid artichokes inlaid olives small frikadelles filled with pussies inlaid, baked eggplant slices Not exactly a mosque-cracked appetizer choice, but we both like tapas. The four different tapas were neat to good. The olives neat quality, eggplants and artichokes well cooked, then tasty marinated in herbal oil. It's a good thing to do with the frying balls. Unusual combination, but very wounded. A relatively good start to dinner. At the main courses we turned radically around, to a good-bourgeois! As a day meal, roulettes and sour roasts were offered. We let ourselves be seduced and ordered accordingly. From Spain to Grandma's Sunday table....this is also a trip! My wife chose the sour roast. Well swollen beef was served. Lightly acidic, she was satisfied with the frying, the sauce was tied a tick too tight, the cook had added too much binder to the sauce, tastefully ok, but the consistency no longer pleasant. My roulettes were also well swollen, the filling wasn't mine. Grandma always made cucumbers, mustard, bacon and onion in the Roulade, so the North German. These roulettes were filled with a kind of farce from ham (to lean) and cucumbers and onions. It wasn't mine, but the roulettes were swollen and tender. The supplements were the same in both courts, red cabbage and late zle. The red cabbage was good, home-made, because with a very special taste note, which I could not fix. The Spätzle came out of the bag, said the Schwäbin (my wife). I let myself be seduced to a crème brûlée. The crème was okay, but too brûlée, wants to say that the sugar was partially caramelized out and too dark and thus become too bitter. Not so good. My wife left with an espresso. The service was okay over the evening, there were no big patzers. The restaurant was not so full that there could have been a problem. In this category we do not expect gifts. The ambience very pleasant, I have loaded some photos directly into the hotel account. The next morning an average hotel breakfast. Conclusion: no dinner that remains in memory, neither positive nor negative, it was okay and worth the price of about 70 EUR.
Very good service and good reasonably priced food . Magnificent pasta and salads . Very friendly staff with some English skills . Lovely outside dining .
We stopped on the way through town. The restaurant is located in the center of this small townWe had a great meal. I had the schnitzel and my wife had pizza. Both were very good. Prices were good. Service was a bit slow but good.
Service was tolerable. Food was not. Ordered black tea got green. Stingy with extras. Received one sugar, one, small pat butter for 4 pieces of bread. Steak was a very poor cut of beef loaded with gristle, couldn't even cut it. Sauerbraten was on tough side for what it was, but not up to par. Very overpriced for quality. Would not recommend......fries good.
Everything is perfect here. Food is perfect and the rooms are superclean. Would stay here anytime. Owner is a perfectionist and it reflects on the business 100%.
